Why does American Idol, bring on people like Dolly Parton?

And make the kids sing Dolly Parton songs, I mean don't know any of them? - Most people watching this show are teens, and do they know Dolly Parton?

better than Dolly?....the woman is a legend in country music. I may not be a country music fan but I know that she's a force to be reckoned with. They bring on "seasoned" performers like Dolly Parton because these are people who've been in the industry long enough to know everything there is to know about the industry.
