I have never been a fan of Gordon Ramsay, but if he thinks that Tracy Grimshaw is an "old ugly pig" (or something similar) all i have to say is:

He should be the face of Proactive. Seriously his skin is disgusting and he should focus on his own flaws before picking others.

As for calling Tracey a "lesbian" what business is it of his who she lies in bed? What, is he jealous its not him?

He needs to pull his head out of his a**e and get a life. And im 100% behind Tracy, his comments were not a "joke"and were nothing more than sheer insults. Good on ya Tracy for not letting this d**khead use you as a walkover

The man is a fake. Everything he does is for shock value and to get him more press. He is prostituting himself, his industry and his personality. I will never watch anything he does as I do not want to prostitute myself and join in his sick game. The man is narcissistic and a poor example of humanity. He is the absolute hypocrite as when he is interviewed the report can ask no personal questions nor attack his morals.

This bloke is a twit. He is the worst thing that has ever come out of England. Send him back. If you call his show entertainment you are kidding. Anyone can swear and be rude. People who watch his programme have certainly got rocks in their heads and must be uneducated baffoons.

He is an arrogant, egotistical moron and he should look in the mirror before he opens his mouth. I don't watch Tracy Grimshaw as the whole show is rubbish,in my opinion, but no woman ( or man) deserves such insults.

Go home Ramsay and try it in the UK....you would be villified!

I will not go to his restaurant or watch his shows....

Most of these so called 'chefs' are so up themselves anyway. Saw Matt Moran and he is thinks he is so funny at other peoples expense too!

I won't be watching his show anymore after his recent outburst. After seeing him on Rove this week it completely changed my opinion of him and when I found out what he'd said about Tracy Grimshaw I was appalled. I don't understand why he ranted and raved about her - was it to get attention with the shock factor? Or maybe we're just seeing his true colours and the respect he has for women. Who does this bloke think he is - comes to a foreign country and verbally abuses our TV presenters. Get a life Ramsay! Get back to Pommy Land. And stay there!

Ramsey is a foul mouth arrogant man who has a god complex. He needs taking down a peg or two. He should be dumped from TV. I cant stand the man.

Tracy Grimshaw is a classy and lovely lady who did not deserve the unwarrented attack on her. She is a much respected professional TV presenter and WILL still be here after Ramsay is cooking in a fish and chip shop.

No, wasn't nice what he said, but I've never watched Gordon becuase he was a nice guy. Also, Tracy is a bully - have you ever watched them hound people on ACA - does not take it so well when people are uncomplimentary to her does she?

All in all though, who really cares? Silly celebreties having silly arguments

Obviously Tracy Grimshaw "attacked" Gordon in a more mature manner and she was more or less retaliating then going after him for no reason. But is this really a huge surprise from Gordon Ramsay? This was probably his way of complimenting her for God's sake. The part that frustrated me the most was Gordon Ramsay made a statement saying that he found what Grimshaw said to be disgusting, I'm sure I've made my point already, but what he said (and for no reason) was more disgusting and overwhelming than anything Grimshaw said.

I am a fan of Ramsay's cooking shows and enjoy watching him on TV but the way he verbally attacked Tracy Grimshaw that way he did was just way out of line and I am not such a big fan of that. Despite the incident, I will not boycott Ramsay's TV shows but I suggest that he thinks twice about what he says to the media in the future so he does not get caught up in any more controversy.

People seem to be forgetting that Gordon has expressed demeaning comments against the presenter of a show that is based upon consistently demeaning & harassing others, because they don't agree with it.

So following people around with camera's, getting in there face & telling them (Insert insult here), is all ok, because it's ACA. Someone else does the exact same thing & Oh Look!!!! A free sh!t-fight.

Gordon has indeed over-stepped the boundary... the boundary that ACA crosses daily. Tracy is probably a very lovely person, but the fact that she's cried wolf over this, something she infact does as a profession, shows that she is also a hypocrit. Perhaps Tracy (& indeed every former ACA presenter) should also publicly apoligise to every person they have ever harrassed or demeaned.

I was at the Gordon Ramsay show on Saturday @ Good Food Show and I didnt think it was as bad as what the media reported. Tracy Grimshaw needs to remove the stick up her @ss and get over it. He was JOKING!! He did the same to Rove on Sunday night but you didnt see Rove running away in tears coz he cant take a joke.

Sure Ramsay is rude, crude, arrogant and egotistical...but thats why his shows are so popular. If you dont know what you are getting yourself into when dealing with Ramsay then you seriously have your head in the clouds.

If Tracy had shut her mouth and not retaliated then the only ppl aware of Ramsay's joking & teasing would be the ones at the show. But she had to make it a national news story ... pfffft .... hello ratings!!

'Get over it! Yes, Gordon Ramsay can be a total pratt and every other thing you could call him and he would agree with you, but we (the viewers) always get fed part of a story, the edited version, which causes outrage and exactly what Television is good for. And by the way, there is an innocent person that had been drag into this by Tracy Grimshaw - Gordon Ramsay's wife. This argument is between Gordon Ramsay and Tracy Grimshaw 'leave it that way and until better programs are offered I will keep on watching Gordon Ramsay good and bad.

I was already not the biggest fan of the swear jar, but I thought his stunt concerning Tracy Grimshaw was well below the belt, even for him. I actually hate "A Current Affair" (so called) as well, because it's never current and more concerned with affairs of the personal than the news-worthy kind, but no person deserves to be treated like that, male or female. Regardless of what he would say, Ramsay certainly did it for the ratings. I think Julia Gillard is right; he should stay in the kitchen and (my thoughts) get out of Oz.
Elena R
2009-06-12 06:32:57 UTC
No, Because his shows are honest and funny and he has talent as a chef. I think Tracy didn't deserve it but she could have at least not attacked him and try to become the better person.

Tracy, I never had an interest to watch her because ACA and Today Tonight are a waste. I mean she isn't that great of a jorno. If she was, she would have been at The BBC or CNN like Anna Coren (Who looks like she is enjoying herself there). Ramsay is a funny angry cook and I didn't watch his shows because he was nice but because he was brutally honest.

This thing has been only used to get ratings for Current Affair. I mean everyone bags each other out anyway and it gets worse then that.

I like Gordon Ramsay & you have to take him as he comes as that is the Gordon Ramsay way & you cant teach an old dog new tricks. I also like Tracy Grimshaw, but at the same time she can give as hard as what she is given. They both need to get together & say sorry to one another as they are both in the wrong. I will continue to watch Gordon Ramsay's show after what has happened. They both need to just grow up & act their age, after all they are both presenters on the television.

Well, Will YOU Boycott anything Tracy Grimshaw is on? Make no mistake, I Don't like Gordon Ramsay at all, but what he said would be to a 'normal person' the equivilant of water of a duck's back! & from him, it's expected! But poor little Twacy Gwimshaw, "Oh no, I broke a nail!" "The whole worls will end!" .................... Do we string guys up now for calling a pig, a pig? I didn't hear the word "Lesbian" just like Ramsay says! I Did hear the word "Gay!" ... Hello! Maybe Gordon Ramsay meant "Happy" when he said "Gay?" ..... Naturaly Widdle Twacy was hurt, by this. She chose to look on the Negative side. That's HER Fault, not his! > > The Reaction of Tracy Grimshaw to Gordon Ramsay has only done a disservice to women! By responding as she did in the way she did, Tracy Grimshaw HAS "Proved" that Women are Not Equal to Men! "How?" You may ask. Fair question. .......... Any MAN who responded the way that She Did,by attacking Gordon Ramsay's Wife, Would have been S.hitting Teeth! ..... Any MAN Knows, that he can have a go at any other MAN,,But NEVER,, EVER, is it excusable to bring the other person's Wife or Family into a Dispute! "NEVER!" .......... "Only The Lowest Form Of Scum Ever Resorts To That!" ...... But of course,,,,, Tracy is a soft & helpless woman. MEN Do NOT Hit Women,, Only other Men, so she could get away with saying what NO REAL MAN WOULD even Think Of Saying!! Is That 'Equality' is it girls? Hmmmm? Let's all go back a few Million Years.) ......... Look,, I Don't Watch or Like Gordon Ramsay or his Show. ..... But in This,,, Even though he is Not Right, I must stand By him! Gordon Ramsay IS the Injured party not her!

I think that the whole incident has been taken a bit too far now.... Yes I don't think that he should have said that she was a pig or commented on her personal life but i also don't think that she had any right to comment on his personal life either...I like both Gordon Ramsay and Tracy Grimshaw and this incident wont stop me from watching things that they are both on...

Don't watch or listen to Gordon Ramsay's interviews if you don't want to get offended for crying out loud! It is as simple as that! There are so many more issues that have a greater importance than Gordon Ramsay offending Tracy Grimshaw and as it has already been said, she is just as bad. I say go gordon keep on keeping on! some people have nothing better to do with their time than to pick on every little thing..... It shows how interesting their lives must be!

2009-06-09 17:52:20 UTC
Of course not, it is ridiculous to think that just because he offends some people, everyone should not go to see him or watch his shows to see his talent at cooking. Complete and utter crap!

His personality is a take it or leave it affair. Who he belittles is his business. As for T Grimshaw - get over it, or dish it out and move on.

As for Wonderwoman comment re Ramsey ending up in a fish and chip shop - what exactly do you know about Gordon Ramsey apart from the current overblown crap? Do you think that his restaurant chain will suddenly go under because you don't like him.

Simple, don't watch him. End of story!

I do not watch any Gordon Ramsay shows at all. Because off all his bad language, he is not a roll model he is a sexiest pig. He should off had his mouth washed out a bit more with soap when he was younger. His shows should be Banned in Australia. We don't need his type on our television. Boycott Gordon Ramsay. There are better things to watch on our Televisions.

Yes, I will boycott Gordon Ramsay's shows in the future. Previously, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I do not doubt his ability as a master chef. I think that he is outstanding in his chosen profession. However, Gordon leaves me with the impression of being unaware that he comes across as a attention seeking mysogenist. I am not sure whether he is acting out that 'any publicity is good publicity'.

I would patronise his restaurants. I just find his whole television personna somewhat grating. So to reiterate I will in future ignore the Ramsay antics in all of the media formats.

Gordon Ramsay is a complete utter Idiot personally.....he's the one that needs to look in the mirror as he is a "FERAL PIG" himself. Tracy Grimshaw is not Ugly as she is quite a attractive person. So grow up Gordon and get on your high horse and go back home to your wife (obviously a very loving one at that).

Just wanted to say that if you watch either Ramsay or Grimshaw, you are asking for salicious comments. Grinshaw heads what must be the most inane show (apart from Bert's 20 to 1) on TV. Ramsay on the other hand is an ego centric foul mouth git. Unfortunately he thinks he's funny. Imaging being an employee of his? Anyway, also wanted to comment on Rachel 33 with twin? the word "use" is not a word in the context she described. "Youse" is the correct vernacular, but it even isn't a real word.

I have only watched about 5 minutes of 1 of his first shows & couldn't stand 2 watch him any more, I even change the channel when the ads come on for his show. Ramsey is a publicity whore & everything he does is 4 attention, it's nice 2 see that publicity is more important 2 him than being a good role model 4 his kids. Tracy delt with him in a very dignified way it didn't deserve the crap that he dribbled!!

Why not boycott he should be sent home now

Publicity is what he wanted and that's what he is getting

He is in a WIN WIN situation

SEND HIM HOME we have local talent a plenty who can COOK

use the Local Australian made for our reality shows

Absolutely Not!

This is another case of 'assassination by media' mixed in with a some tall poppy syndrome.

Gordon is a successful individual with a strong personality, which makes him 'fair game' for current affairs television, which is poor excuse for news.

Keep it up Gordon!

The same could be said for the 'chik, chik, boom!' girl. I don't personally know of anyone who thinks she did anything wrong. All she did was jump in front of a camera and tell a story she made up 'off the cuff'. Brilliant!

Its time the media produced some quality and stopped transmitting rubbish. No wonder pay TV is so popular. Imagine choosing to watch 10 year old reruns over domestic broadcasts. Funny that.

Although this is a storm in a teacup, and it's not news that Gordon Ramsay is famous for being deliberately offensive, it's worth pointing out that he himself looks old and has a face like a crumpled teacake. But maybe this is a deliberate ploy? By putting himself intentionally in the firing line, he gets free media coverage and all advertising is "good advertising" ... doesn't he have a new Australian restaurant opening in the near future. We're being taken for a ride, Aussies.

I didn't watch his show beforehand because he is appallingly classless. I hear older people still whining about 'kids today', well it doesn't take a genius to realise they are a product of their environment and the role models and examples they have to emulate are sadly lacking. The current generation doesn't have much hope from the look of all the people who think his sewer mouth and abusive treatment of the people he deals with is amusing. He only apologised after the public outcry and apparently his mother (the poor woman must be so ashamed) gave him a 'bollocking' over the phone. He'll do it again the next chance he can, he's not sorry, just sorry he can't be a rude arrogant pig himself and get away with it. I

Not at all, this was only a way to get the dumb public to watch Gordan on his program and Tracy on her channel 9. Gordon actually got it wrong as Tracy is a pog. Cross between a pig and a dog. Sorry Tracy I was at the hotel where you were running around the hall naked. Oh what a site, I will never get that image out of my mind.

No, I will even watch more of his shows. He is actually a VERY GOOD MAN instead for what he has recently done on tracy something and I believe he behaves very appropriately with the attitude that what a male Aussie should have in dealing towards women. Women are idi"ots and THERE ARE A LOT OF FEMINIST PIGS ANSWERS BEING SUBMITTED AT HERE. Some of the pro-feminist answers here also makes me wondering about this question? Why men are required to respect women at all times but women do not always do the same vic versa? Isn't this is double standard at all? Keep up with the good work.

Yes! Yes! Yes! However, I stretch the point – back when his show/s first came to TV and I happened to be flicking through the channels, I was amazed at the verbal diarrhoea emitting from G.R.’s mouth over a couple of short minutes – consequently deciding right there and then that I had no interest whatsoever for the tripe programme!

Tracy, you did yourself proud with your reply that I viewed this morning on a rival Channel. THEY even have the respect for you by showing their viewers the whole clip. I whole heartedly agree that by not replying, G.R. would have been vain enough to consider that these bully and uncouth comments/tactics are somehow amusing. I have a definite feeling that most of his comments/conversation to the opposite sex have a smutty meaning and he considers he is so big time that he can get away with it.

After todays reponse from the Australian public, I somehow don't think so.

Hell NO. I am Australian and Tracy Grimshaw annoys the crap out of me. Everything he said was true: She does look like a pig and she does have a growth on her lip. Did you also see the footage after he made the comments of the blonde reporter following him around and instigating him to say something about her. She was annoying him and followed him with a massive film crew to his hotel when he was just trying to have a morning run. Tracy Grimshaw is annoying and probably asked for everything that she got.

But I have gone right off Tracy Grimshaw after the treatment she gave Matty Johns and his wife.

Shame on you Tracy that is playing with an innocent parties feelings and hitting below the belt.

I never watched his show in the first place. Just looking at him is a turn-off!

How such an obnoxious, arrogant person got a television show I will never know. I guess it's because the makers and supporters of his show are just like him, a horrible human being!

He even used the word lesbian as if it was an insult to be one. How ridiculous, he's a caveman basically and that's an insult to cavemen I think.

A current affair on the other hand yes seems to me Tracey Grimshaw can hand it out but she cant take it... she should harden up if she cant take critisim she has the wrong job.. she manages to give it enough maybe a job in radio might suit her best.. No. Just part of his colorful language. They both have mile high egos as it is part of where they are. Tracy just needs to move on. A bit of colorful language and a bit of criticism is just part of the public life they have chosen to lead. You need a thick skin in their business.

The responses here are unbelievable. He's a rude bugger for sure but then again Tracy Grimshaw's hardly Mother Teresa - She grills and interrogates people on national television for the entertainment and amusement of a nation of halfwits, hardly someone I'd jump in front of a bullet for. I couldn't care less if her feelings are hurt, she needs to grow some thicker skin. Can give it out but can't take it, eh?

Gordon Ramsay is an arrogant narcissist and should be kicked out of Australia immediately. In the climate of negativity towards women of recent times, this rings alarm bells. This vile excuse for a human being obviously doesn't own a mirror or a dictionary. He is without doubt the ugliest man on the planet. If I looked like him I would not be seen without a paperbag on my head. He is also a first class liar, claiming a football career which didn't exist. Good for you Tracy for standing up to this pompous little bully in a trully gracious and ladylike manner. This man's soul is expressed in his horrid, sour, cynical face.

The way that show destroys peoples live on a daily basis by making false accusations against persons that are totally unfounded is disgusting....

The people who make a current affair and today tonight are scum.

tracey gets all she deserves and deserves more....

Gordon says what he likes..... obviously.... if u dont like him, dont watch him... i sure he wont give a **** if u dont.

"Any publicity is good publicity" my mums boyfriend told me. and he makes a good point. isn't it ironic, that Ramsay will be having a new show on channel 9 soon, the same channel that Tracy Grimshaw hosts A Current Affair?
anonymous
2009-06-09 21:30:24 UTC
Well both shows use extreme situations to get people to watch. ACA will use this to get their ratings higher, or else they would never have shown what Ramsay said. In nearly every situation the person who retaliates often ends up losing. For me i don't care much for what Ramsay did or who got offended by it but they should have kept it behind closed doors, as this will only end up hurting channel 9.

I don't waste the time of day watching - it won't make any difference to me.

Ramsay is a loud, foul mouthed person and should never have been allowed - let alone made a celebrity with it in the process - on TV.

He had an inch and has taken a mile and 'we' let it happen. So why reprimand him now?? It is 'part of what makes him what he is' - nasty and foul mouthed. I just feel very sorry for all those on the receiving end of his comments. NO - I really feel sorry for him thinking that it's his kitchen expertise that has made him the celebrity he is. DOH!

OMG, what an effing a*hole.

I used to be a huge fan until all this. Tracy Grimshaw is a beautiful talented professional, that respected his wishes of not to discuss his private life etc and was rewarded with such disrespect and rudeness.

I'll now be switching Ramsay off!!!

I have never watched more than half an hour of his shows. I also swear and use the F word from time to time but this person takes things far to far in my opinion. I do not like anything about him especially the way he treats and speaks to other people. It's not needed. I think he is an attention seeker, any attention is better than none even if it's negative! Grow up GR and nick off back to where you came from, I for one don't want you in my town and if you came I'd leave till you were gone! Despicable person!

And you know, now our "wonderful" prime minister K-Rudd has jumped on the band wagon, saying its disgraceful how a high profile news reader has been put down like this.

Excuse me?

A high profile news reader! Its great to see our prime minister knows who needs looking after, how about speaking up for the people who have really been hard done by, maybe pensioners, or the homeless.

Gosh you're a fool Kevin Rudd.

Can we please have an early election?

And to answer the question no I won't boycott Gordon Ramsey, should I boycott Dicko for saying Paulini looked fat in that dress ( and then wore it himself ),

Should I boycott Karl Stefanovic for being drunk on the today show after the logies.

And in saying that should I boycott my sister for calling her friend a pig.

Some of the nice things people are saying about Ramsey .Personaly I think Reality t.v shows are rubbish anyway.

I refuse to watch his shows after hearing him once so appallingly

Ramsey is a foul mouth arrogant man

The man is a fake.

He is prostituting himself.

The man is narcissistic and a poor example of humanity

He is the absolute hypocrite .

He got no morals or values.

He is a low life .

Anyone who champions this abuser of women is as bad as he is.

He should not be allowed back into Oz!

He needs to pull his head out of his a**e and get a life.

A "joke"& a d**khead

Is offensive at all times, he doesnt have an ounce of class or any respect and decency.

The ad's for his shows are more than enough have never watched one of his shows and never plan to.

Would never watch this PIG of a Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ashamed to share the human race with HIM!!!!!!!!!!

He ranted and raved -

Was it to get attention with the shock factor?

Or maybe we're just seeing his true colours and the respect he has for women.

Who does this bloke think he is - comes to a foreign country and verbally abuses our TV presenters.

Get a life Ramsay! Get back to Pommy Land. And stay there!

This bloke is a twit.

He is the worst thing that has ever come out of England. Send him back.

If you call his show entertainment you are kidding.

Anyone can swear and be rude.

People who watch his programme have certainly got rocks in their heads and must be uneducated baffoons.

Ramsay just needs to move on.

He is obnoxious .

He is an arrogant, egotistical moron and he should look in the mirror before he opens his mouth.

He should be villified!

He's not funny nor is he any talent to speak of.

Silly celebreties having silly arguments.

He's rude, inconsiderate and sub-human. Why waste my time.

Gordon Ramsey is just a Jerk ,who wouldn't know how to handle a REAL woman.

A good chef does not rely on foulmouthed contraversailsm to make themselves reknowned.

He is the pig and i hope he is not secretly gay because gay people are way more classy than this mental midget will ever be!

The first time I heard him using the f word I switched to another channel.

Pity the big wimp only picks on females. Real tough guy, Like to knock his block off.

My question is , dose this sound like a popular guy

No chance, but I do try to avoid any of Tracy Grimshaw's appearances on TV because she's full of crap. Ramsey is loved worldwide because of he's fun personalitiy and inteligence. Tracy and the rest of the up-tight sheep who watch her on TV and are so quick to judge need to lighten up.

Australian's are some of the rudest people on the planet but yet so quick to judge others.

Ramsey has my vote 100%

No, certainly not. I am more likely to boycott A Current Affair. Tracy was not innocent in the situation. She was being unpleasant towards his wife, and secondly, Tracy has spoken to Gordon before, she knows what he is like, she should have been better prepared for an interview with him.

He is also a crap cook what a star he can use the F##k word more than three times in a sentence . People are usually looked down upon when using such gutter talk yet this wife cheating womaniser who has made fame from putting people down is famous. Famous and the name Gordon Ramsay should never be used in the same sentence shame on me. Gordon Ramsay is nothing more than a low life arrogant prick! He has attacked Tracey Grimshaw without provocation while he is a guest in our Country! then he has the audacity to go on the defensive when she had the "hide" to defend her reputation I'll tell you right now if I was on the receiving end of one of his attacks he would find himself in Court on charges of Defamation But then Tracey Grimshaw has more class & integrity in her little toe than Gordon Ramsay has in his whole body! After seeing the clip i thought it was petty. I have been called worse things than that and still as a 47 y/o i still get some nasty names thrown at me. Pass it off and have a laugh about it. The only person who looks like an idiot is Ramsay himself. I cannot have a joke at work without anyone calling it sexual harassment. I am a woman and i give as good as i get and those around me all have a good laugh whether the story or sayings are true or not. Surely we are not stupid to even think that Tracy looks like Miss Piggy. If she is a lesbian.... SO WHAT!

I was there at the show and if you heard him saying that you were obviously listening to someone else..... your own mind perhaps?

NO, I will not boycott him. He is rude & vulgar, what did the public suddenly think? That he was going to become a gentleman overnight?

Yes, he has had extra marital affairs, I don't think that has anything to do with us, we are not perfect, we too have made mistakes. I think this has been blown out of proportion and truly I would prefer the news to start focussing on news as in Air France, leave this type of banter to the "Gossip Channels" - ENews.

2009-06-08 23:41:20 UTC
I'm pretty bored with him now anyway. All his TV shows are about is him abusing someone and telling them how bad they are at cooking (Hell's Kitchen). He never actually teaches anyone anything, just goes on about how good he is. Well, I only have his word for how good he is, and quite frankly I wonder if his cooking skills might be over rated.

I much prefer to watch MasterChef. At least they treat the contestants like human beings. They give honest but constructive criticism. They are supportive when they need to be. They also give cooking lessons which are very interesting and informative. By far the better show.

I doubt that I will ever bother watching any of Ramsey's shows again - Tracy Grimshaw or not - as the content is minimal, repetitive and minimal. He really is a one trick pony.

But I will still watch his shows. I don't watch Hells Kitchen because I don't care for his cooking style. I do watch Kitchen Nightmares but not for his opinion. I watch it to see him go nuts at everybody. Lets face it, if he wasn't rude he wouldn't be famous.

None the less between what he said and the way he treats his wife. (sex scandal) He clearly has no respect for women.

It's the easy way out to insult someone, much cleverer to have witty repartee. Who care what he says? He's just made himself look ridiculous...

I didn't hear his outburst, only heard about it 2nd hand. I love watching cooking shows more than anything else, however I stopped watching Ramsay's shows ages ago because I couldn't stand how much he swears. (and I am no prude)

Having worked in restaurants for 20 years, I have never heard so much foul language from any chef, or anyone else for that matter.

I think he is over-rated, and uses his venacular to gain attention, much like a 3 year old having a tantrum. Pretty disgraceful, and totally uncalled for. Seriously, if he had real talent, he would rely soley on that and not the foul language.

I will have to see what this is all about. I do know even watching him here in the States is hard & we edit the heck out of tv programs. We lost count one night of all the bleeps in one episode of Hell's Kitchen. My 9 yr old son wants to be a chef but I can't let him watch either Hell's Kitchen or Kitchen Nightmares because the language is so bad. He may be good chef but I think its time for a serious attitude adjustment.

I think they are both being immature. They are both popular TV personalities and neither of them are acting very Professional.

I am more appalled at Tracy for trying to play the "Im being bullied" card and for even taking the bait when she had the opportunity to ignore his "opinions" on her.

Quite frankly I think they should STFU and get back to doing their jobs. Im sick of hearing about it.

Also just watching the news (Channel 9 "facepalm") and Kevin Rudd was talking about Gordon Ramsey.

Why does he have the time to get involved in some pissy feud between a News Presenter and a Chef when he still hasn't stimulated me (I still haven't received my $950 that I was promised)

No way.. I think Gordon Ramsay is awesome, he speaks his mind and some people may not like it but I think he's quite funny, although I wouldn't let my children watch his shows because of the language he uses. I don't care to much for Tracy Grimshaw after she treated Matty Johns like a complete criminal during their interview about the sex scandal! But I must say no woman deserves to be called names like that for no apparent reason.

2009-06-09 00:22:15 UTC
After watching him on a few occasions I gave up. Listening to the way he speaks to the staff on his shows just confirms that he is a bully. These people won't answer him back because they want their jobs but he sacks them anyway. To speak to a presenter as he did the other night just proves that he has no respect for anyone, he is a real pig and does not have a very good knowledge of the English language because he has to swear he doesn't know anything else to use instead. Tracey couldn't ask personal questions because he doesn't want his affairs with other women discussed he knows he behaves badly but thinks it is alright for him and women who don't find him attractive must be gay. What a laugh take alook in the mirror Gordon you are not a picture yourself. Grow up! No woman in her right mind would want you for anything except money. Put a bag over your head and shut your mouth and you might have a chance.

i will not support anyone of them maybe ramsay needed this as a wake up call to watch his tongue....i do like him a lot he is a great chef and all his programmes are very interesting.....i think this should be stopped right now they should meet and apologize and make up.....its pathetic....i dont know grimshaw but what she said could hurt his marriage and actually WAS insulting to his wife in an indirect way i for example didnt know about his affair and now i too feel sorry for his wife...its like trying to break up a shaky marriage....i think she has done enough damage so they should get over it and the tv channel should stop fueling it.

While I have some respect for Tracy Grimshaw, I don't watch her show, nor would I watch Gordon Ramsey.

Both shows are nonsense.

It's his publicist who's the problem. Ramsey's star is loosing its luster so his publicist is getting desperate. Like portraying Grimshaw as criticising Ramsey's wife when she was sympathising with her and raising the possibility of bringing lawyers into things to string the publicity out.

I never watch his show and I cant stand that Tracy Grimshaw anyway, she is getting her own back after the way she treated Matthew Johns and his wife with her snooty attitude

2009-06-09 02:12:24 UTC
Of course. Does the media ever tell us anything truthful. They always twist everything to make a story sound better. Maybe if everyone spoke there mind the way Ramsay does, we would all know where we stand. Reality t.v shows are great.

I have never watched his show as his old ads indicated to me that he was foul mouthed, arrogant and egotistical, therefore I've been spared the insulting way he treats his viewers. As for Tracy Grimshaw, that guy ought to take a good look in the mirror. I certainly don't see any signs of a young Adonis whenever his ugly face appears on my t.v. screen. She's got more class in her little pinky fingernail than he could ever hope to even dream about.

It doesn't matter as to whether the other person is likeable or not, they deserve to be treated with respect. He's an overblown, overgrown school bully. Though I don't agree with what he supposedly said I will still watch his show. I think the media are making more out of this - both Tracy and Gordon are getting plenty of publicity, isn't that what so called celebreties want? I have never watched anything that this so called man has ever done as I find him not only offensive but also it comes from a so called man who is so insecure with himself that he can not interact with any other person without being a total MORON. I watched him once for all of 2 minutes and never again. Don't like him. Never have. As for his comments about Tracey Grimshaw these were appalling, denigrating and sexist. To liken her to a pig is a disgusting attempt at his humour I presume. He has downgraded women in general by making these comments about Tracey. However, I feel that whilst Tracey comments were justifiable, she should not have included his relationship with his wife in her comeback comments. This unfortunately was stooping to his level... somewhat. She would have been better off just sticking to the facts. Keeping it simple would have given her argument strength and credibility. Having said that, I absolutely love Tracey Grimshaw and therefore am willing to forgive her.....I guess just as Ramsay's fans will forgive him. But to his fans I say: You need to admit that such vilification of another human being is totally abhorrent and unjust and this was very insensitive and cruel on his behalf.
Silly mum

OH MY GOD! No i will not boycott!!! If you don't understand the man and don't watch the shows why are you saying anything. All are criticising gordon but yet they all know enough about him to have obviously be fans just now shooting their mouths off. Its his personality its his image i dint know where you lot think he went wrong. He is arrogant and admittedly by his own admissions a bastard too. C'mon Australia what were you expecting!!! Grow up the lot of ya. Enough is enough frigging biased Aussies don't belong in Australia . OOOOH don't say that to Tracy Grimshaw, why the heck not? Where is the BIG AUSTRALIAN NOTICE BOARD that tells foreign visitors to leave their entire personalities in their own countries .The man travels with his mouth and its his GOD given right to use it! So shut up your all a bunch of SUCK-FACE wingers. And i am as Aussie as the next. Soooooo much more relaxed then the rest of ya with superiority complexes. I've known a few chefs in my time, amongst others of course, but anyhow they are all as foul mouthed as Ramsey. The thing I like about him is that he doesn't clean it up for the cameras in fact if anything he probably puts it on a bit but I've seen many celebrities get where they are through immoral, indecent behaviour and they don't cause this much controversy. Whilst I don't condone his foul mouth I find it a refreshing change and alot more real and honest then alot of television personalities these days. As for the incident with Tracy Grimshaw I think they all give as good as they get and it's been blown way out of context, I don't see people carrying on over the times she's offended people and she has. So in answer, no I won't boycott hisshows, he makes me laugh there's no crime in that
Julie

We all know what Ramsey was like and for Tracey to think he would act any differently with her and show her the respect she deserved was a little naive, having said that Ramsey is a law unto himself and nothing is going to change that. I don't watch his shows because of his vulgarity etc and i'm not going to start now. Put it behind you Tracey people like that aren't worth it, and thrive on more publicity.

No, because I do not watch him anyway. I find the very idea of celebrity as a result of being foul mouthed is showing how low our standards have sunk. Those that watch and enjoy this puerile rubbish are hardly likely to disapprove of this particular event.

The first time I heard him using the f word I switched to another channel. As long as there are f words in programmes I don't watch it. So it is obvious how many times I have watched his programme ! To me fine dining does not go well with unrefined manners...

It is certainly not a surprise that he is in such a mess now by having to explain his remarks against Tracy. Afterall, how can you trust the words of someone who uses such repulsive language on TV so blantantly and freely? You are indeed what you say.

As for Tracy, she is such a beautiful, classy lady! I respect and admire her professionalism as a journalist/ tv presenter for doing her best to treat Ramsay as fairly and as possible during her interviews with him. I firmly believe that this recent slander has done Tracy the deepest injustice. I watch her programme almost every evening...... cheers

tracey grimshaw is a journalist doing a job whether we like the reporting style or not of aca and if you dont like it...DONT WATCH! this does not excuse ramdicks abyssmal behaviour. i am 20 years hospitality worker and he is an embarrasment to the industry. a good chef does not rely on foulmouthed contraversailsm to make themselves reknowned. they do it with food! what has ramdick brought to the table as his signature dish - wrinkly sausage served in a leather jacket with acid sauce and a side order of tasteless little balls. Not very appertizing then neither is he! Tracey, you were a class act. He is the pig and i hope he is not secretly gay because gay people are way more classy than this mental midget will ever be!

NOT AT ALL! Gordon Ramsay has spent so much quality time with my two children over the last 12 months in Sydney and Melbourne that he and other chefs have helped launch my children's career in the hospitality industry. SO I WILL NEVER TURN MY BACK ON CHEF RAMSAY! Get a grip all you journo's, you can throw mud on people but can't seem to take it when the tables are turned. Tracey Grimshaw did say to Chef Ramsay when he first sat down in the interview "well, we haven't heard much about your private life in the press in the last 6 months have we?" and now she claims he is a woman hater, but she is the one who degraded his lovely wife Tana on Australian prime time TV, I mean really, Tracey get a grip!!!!!

Tracy Grimshaw is an annoying bi.tch, I can't stand to watch her. All she does is belittle people she's interviewing for her crap show. She's rude and thinks she's too good for the show, so I think she deserved this.

And this is Gordon Ramsay, people should expect stuff like this from him, as he's always done this. So I do not think it was "appalling" at all.

2009-06-08 23:22:56 UTC
Gordon Ramsey is arrogant and full of himself. I don't think he deserves to be watched in the first place. ACA is just as silly though, their stories have no real substance, and their shows always consist of :

A 'sad' story ~ They make children who have lost their parents cry, or wives/husbands who have lost their partners cry.

A 'Fighter' story ~ Some old ladie who is being made to get rid of her garden, or an old man who is protesting about the amount of L-platers that drive down his street.

A 'sexy' story ~ The newest bra style available, or how college students are stripping to pay their fees.

It's not really worth watching either.

I boycotted this idiot long ago. Who would want to waste their time watching a bully shout and yell at staff and anyone else he wanted to - just because he can. I would prefer to watch children behaving like children - rather than adults behaving like children. Children are amusing - Ramsay isn't.

I am a fan of neither of them and make no deliberate attempts to watch either.

Ramsay would do well however, to familiarise himself with a little australian media history.

He lacks the presence, talent and power of Frank Sinatra and many will remember how he fared in similar situation.

The man is well known for being rude and insulting why would you go and pay to go to his restarunt to be treated like that. There was and is no reason to speak like that about or to anyone let alone in public. I wouldn't go to and see him put a fire out.

In my opinion, Ramsay is a foul mouthed, arrogant bully. Anyone can stand about in a kitchen, swearing and cursing and making a fool of themselves, blowing their top off over nothing; so why is HE so special??? Ramsay needs a dose of reality; and a good swift kick to match!

2009-06-09 03:16:21 UTC
No, Tracy deserved all the abuse she got from Ramsay. After the way she roasted Matthew Johns on ACA. She shouldn't hand it out if she can't take it back. And people say Ramsay is arrogant, have a good look at yourself Tracy. Who made you judge and executioner?

Gordon is a legend. He calls it how he sees it and gets straight to the point. If all you nannas out there don't like his colourful language on his tv shows, change the channel

He is no prize pig himself.

They ALL know what kind of low life he is,Tracey is fully aware of what the interview would of involved. It got the TV ratings up for both shows.

im leaning towards it being more of a publicity stunt AGAIN,or Tracey got so much fan mail from the interview that it was her responsibility to respond.I dont ever watch his shows, nor would i want to.

He is not worth it.HE'S NOT WORTH A PINCH OF SALT! lol

"shame shame shame "

Tracy is a lovely presenter, she will be around alot longer than Ramsy.

I have boycotted Ramsay from the first time I ever saw one of his shows. He's not my kind of guy, He's rude, and no fun to watch. TV should be entertaining or educative, not full of bs. Don't like these 'reality' kind of shows, they are not real.

Tracey deserves everything she got, she is sneaky, impersonal, invasive, rude with her lack of sensitivity over real issues with peoples profiles while she happily interviews merely for claims and reasons of entertainment purposes.

***** you are a disgrace, then she makes a public announcement of her opinion of the man as a defence, taking shots at him about his alleged affair and how she doesnt find him attractive. Who cares Tracey, your a puppet on strings chasing around somewhat amusing, generally mindless information. One of them in your lil bag of tricks is sucking up ratings. Youve done your job now. Now bend over and take it you pitifal phoney rotten media hungry ****. Pay back.

2009-06-09 00:27:43 UTC
No. Gordon Ramsay is a good example of the majority of men who one day will probably come to realise how badly misguided they have been. I am sure that the reason for this incredibly bad behaviour is uncontrolled natural evolutionary genetics. Un-bridled ignorance, greed selfishness and total disregard for the welfare of others.

What he and the majority of humankind need to recognise (me included) is that no matter what our passions, no matter how we earn our livelihood (some many many times over) the most important thing in life is to be kind to everybody. Be reassuring, be supportive, be empathetic.

Save the anger and the bullying for those who deserve such.

Pedophiles, murderers, rapists, violators, liars, opportunists who are only interested in the rewards they can gather no matter who they hurt along the way.

Oops, maybe Gordon Ramsay fits into this group, where I regret, most people do.

We live in a society in which we are as cruel to each other in the name of greed as the caveman ever could have been. As cruel as people have been to each other since then and still today. We try to disguise it with cultural platitudes and denial, singleing out from time to time the likes of Gordon to make us feel that we are OK, because they are so bad.

Try reading Marcus Aurelius Gordon - and you who violate humankind in the name of ........... (fill in the blank....religion, greed, self, nationalism, race, gender ....etc etc)

"Never regard as a benefit to yourself anything which will force you at some time to break your faith, to leave integrity behind, to hate, to suspect, or curse another, to dissemble, to covert anything needing the secrecy of walls and drapes." The Meditations of Marcus Aurelius (book3..7)

He is only one such person. At least he does not hide behind some shroud, in some dark hole or just out of sight! He is upfront and despicable. Not to watch him would serve no purpose. Watching him is likely to show me how not to behave. That's a real benefit.

Why not change Gordon and be a nice guy. Get rid of the image and trust that people will respond to a nice Gordon Ramsay who can show us his talent, mentoring others in a positive way and perhaps helping to improve the eating habits of a generation gone wild.

Seems to work for Jamie!
Euphoria

No way, never.

Tracy Grimshaw has 'Man hands'. Have you ever seen them? Her fingers look like they belong on a gorilla. A current affair is senseless reactionary dribble.

I am a chef who works under a head chef who has worked under Ramsay and is about to work for him again.

Gordon Ramsay is SAVIOUR for our industry. If youve ever watched his 'kitchen nightmares' episodes, either US or UK his passion and intelligence is clearly abundant. He is an amazing professional who genuinely cares about what he does and the restuarants that need his help. He is right in every episode.

It is so easy to knock him, but do you know what its like to work for the opposite of him? Unprofessional, apathetic restauranters or chefs?

Gordon Ramsey has no manners and is a disgrace to our generation. He should be ashamed of his abuse of the english language and his total lack of respect for any females. If he took the time to talk to women, he might find that we are the more intelligent side of the human species.

Of course not! He's on TT now and again later on Nine - I'm not gonna miss it. I might have boycotted his hammy shows in the past, in protest at the predictability of the format, but this has added a whole extra level of pzazz to his shows. Obviously he is out of control saying TG should get botox (he's the ultimate Crater Face!) but his unhinged swearing and extreme misogynism is hilariously unevolved (SO Aussie rugby league) I'm watching him carefully now for signs of wear and tear around the nose cavity... But he must feel so at home - misogynism is part of the national culture here - or it is only OK if you're in the Cronulla Sharks?? At least Tracy hasn't got a black eye - and hasn't been glassed. I don't see why I would boycott his shows as they are entertaining and he has a good grasp on what the mass media wants and how to use it to his advantage. To turn this "Ramsay insults Grimshaw" into another "He doesn't respect women" and "See how he treats his wife". Well we don't know him personally to criticise him on that level. Oh my god he is foul mouthed........hmm there are a lot of foul mouthed "celebrities out there that don't seem to bother many people eg: Billy Connolly, Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy.

Which would you rather watch? entertaining brilliant cooking...OR...boring (often false and rating related) A Current Affairs Program which (in my opinion) is almost as low as Today Tonight. Questioned answered.

I mean who cares if he swears or is obnoxious...wake up...THAT'S HOW HE GETS RATINGS...and to tell you the truth, it's working.
It's me!!!

From what I've seen he didn't say anything too bad and he was joking.

What people are seeing is just his personality, he's hilarious and everyone needs to get over it. The media takes bits out of what he said and make him look much worse.

No way! Gordon's shows display restaurant tips that only help bad restaurants become good and successful! Gordon Ramsay is a talented chef and Australia should be proud to have his restaurant in Australia!! It would enhance tourism in melbourne, especially bring people to crown casino. He only says those things for televsion ratings and i think if people like snoop dogg and mike tyson are allowed in Australia, Ramsay defintely should be!

Definitely not I would be more likely to boycott ACA because of Grimshaws style of coming onto every male that she interviews and then saying she does that because they like it. That is a very sexist statement, but that doesn't count if you are a female reporter who doesn't realise she is past her prime for using these tactics.

My Mother told me, "Always be nice to girls, women or ladies". If you disrespect them, you disrespect me. In deference to my Mother, I will not watch Gordon Ramsay, although when I watched it before, I am only interested in his cooking, not in his manners.

And I do not like people disrespecting women or ladies.

As to their quarrel, it was Gordon Ramsay who started it.

Yes, and I wish for him as a father and husband to feel the pain when the backlash of his abuse is deflected to his wife and children, he is a disgrace to his parents for his upbringing, but he probably is a reflection of them, and toward his family, you should treat others the way you wish to be treated Gordan, you disgust me. You should disgust those close to you. I would be ashamed of you if you were part of my family. As an ex pat I am ashamed of you.

Lets face it - Tracy is an icon now. Like it or not. I happen to like her. She has a mountain of cred.

I have never watched him. I understand what he is about - I don't like what he is about. I think this is the best publicity ch 9 has ever concocted. Even ch 7 is talking about it. Mission accomplished guys.

Tracy, if you don't like this sort of attention, then get yourself a job presenting something worth while, instead of peddling the same crap about other people night after night. Don't like it when the tables are turned and you become the focus of the sort of gutter press journalism you present Eh?

Why is it that people constantly dictate how people should and shouldnt behave. It is common knowledge of Gordons personalitiy, if you dont like it turn it of or dont go to his shows. its that easy. As for his shows you can see the points he is making when he goes to those resturants, the food industry isnt something to be careless at.

What he supposedly said about Tracey was, if he said it, unfortunate, but she is a poor presenter. She abuses her position. Tracey has almost as big an ego as Gordon, but he has proved his worth. She hasn't! And BTW Bingalee -- stick with what you know something about -- I assume that's cricket, although sometimes I'm not sure about even that.

no I like ramsay I have worked in hotel kitchens for over 30 years as a cook and EVERY CHEF SWEARS JUST LIKE HIM and you see all these do gooders are the ones that come up with all these stupid comments about him and channel nine is a pain in the rear end, they just knock everyone down

most people wqould'nt have a clue what goes on in these kitchens I can tell you it is always full on

good on yer ramsay

No, I would still watch his programs.

I think Tracy had every right to defend herself. I think it should have ended there. I am a bit sick of hearing about it now.

If I watch his programs it won't be because I like him. I don't know him. Basically, I think that it is just his way of dealing with people - he is watched because he is not polite and swears - everyone who watched his shows accept that about him. He was sure to offend someone somewhere and I'm sure he often offends. This is what has made him famous.

If ya can't stand the heat then stay out of Gordon's Kitchen. Gordon tells it like he sees it and no one is out of limits ..... except probably sick dying kids as not even he would stoop as low as the Chasers. People request to interview him so as to get exposure ...... unfortunately some people can't predict what the exposure will be ........... I am not a regular watcher of either show but I won't avoid either show in the future ..... Cheers

Tracey grimshaw is a dignified, lovely Australian women of special character in my books Gordon Ramsay is a pockfaced, foul mouthed amoral upstart who has paved his way to "success" by filthy language and toally uncalled for arrogance and stupidity. What is he ... a cook. So what. Most of us can cook without swearing.

I have always held Tracey Grimshaw in the highest regard and wish her well.
